Christopher M. Denton
Mr. Denton joined D’Andre Law at their Los Angeles County office in 2018. The focus of his practice is in workers’ compensation defense of insurance carriers and self-insured employers. His dedication and strong work ethic have allowed him to excel in all areas of workers compensation defense, allowing him to handle every aspect of a workers’ compensation claim from early negotiation and resolution, to litigation and trial, post-trial petitions, appellate briefs, liens and contribution.
Prior to joining D’Andre Law, Mr. Denton gained significant legal experience in a variety of practice areas. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters at both the State and Federal Court levels and has represented countless clients in the Federal Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California. Additionally, Mr. Denton also practiced Trust and Estate Law creating estate plans for his clients. Utilizing his knowledge of Trust and Estate Law, Mr. Denton used creative lawyering to develop a new legal procedure which successfully prevented foreclosures of his elderly client’s homes.
While attending the University of San Diego School of Law, Mr. Denton enjoyed participating in moot court competitions, excelled in his trial advocacy courses, and won numerous intramural championships with his softball team, the Legal Eagles.
Prior to law school, Mr. Denton received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California Lutheran University. During his time at CLU, Mr. Denton lettered all four years on the university’s football team where he played as a strong safety. He was a member of the 2007 SCIAC Conference Championship football team where he was selected to the 2007 ALL-SCIAC Conference defensive team and named 2007 Hitter of the Year.
Mr. Denton has lectured on a variety of workers’ compensation topics including case law updates, the Panel QME process, and apportionment.
