Our History
D’Andre Law, LLP was founded in 1970 as the Law Offices of Joseph J. D’Andre, with the initial office in San Francisco. In the time since, we have grown from a single-attorney organization into a well-respected, statewide firm providing comprehensive and responsive legal representation throughout California. The management team now consists of seven equity partners and three non-equity partners overseeing litigation in every corner of the state. Today, we are proud to call Uptown Oakland our principal place of business and the hub of our operations, having moved from San Francisco in 2014.
Over the decades, our firm has gained extensive experience at both the WCAB and appellate level. We have represented numerous clients, both self-insured and insured, in the most complex matters. D’Andre Law continues to be the most trusted legal firm in California’s workers’ compensation space because of our long history of demonstrating superior litigation skills and dedication to meeting our clients’ needs.

D’Andre Law vigorously represents the interests of you, the client, with an emphasis on expedient, cost-effective resolutions and file closures through interactive dialogue with both the insurer and employer. We know that each case is unique, so we work with you to assess whether a quick resolution or an aggressive defense through trial and post-trial proceedings are appropriate for your circumstances. Regardless of which process is used, our team will regularly update you on the status of your case in clear terms, so there are no surprises. We operate this way because we believe that direct contact strengthens the attorney-client relationship and fosters collaboration, which is critical to effective claims handling.
In addition to frequent calls or digital communications, in-person collaboration is accomplished through training seminars that we provide to our clients on cutting-edge issues and strategies. We also have an “open door” philosophy, so feel free to call or email anytime, even if we do not have the claim to provide our legal opinion on pressing issues.
While we do make personal contact with our clients a priority, D’Andre Law is also a technology-driven firm. We’ve invested in technology that gives our team incredible flexibility to cover almost any potential litigation involving workers’ compensation matters, as well as all matters falling under the jurisdiction of the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, Arbitration, and carve-out litigation. And thanks to our partnership with MerusCase, all D’Andre Law attorneys have cloud-based access to all claim files, so any one of us can respond quickly to any client inquiry on a real-time basis, regardless of the handling attorney (unless a restriction is necessary).
