Laura Speakman, Senior Associate Attorney, joined D’Andre Law at their Salinas office in 2020. Mrs. Speakman has been a WC Defense attorney since January 2004. At first, she practiced in the Los Angeles area for two well-known firms and became partner just prior to her move to the Monterey Area. Since June 2014, she has worked as an Independent Contract attorney, again solely in the field of Defense Workers Compensation.
Mrs. Speakman has experience with various types of insurance including Permissibly Self-Insured companies. She has also worked for various types of employers including the airline industry, retail, food services, medical locations, school districts and construction.
Prior to going to law school, she worked in various industries including a veterinary office, dermatology office, Investment Banking firm and The Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
In her spare time, she spends time with her family which includes her husband, children, cats and a Golden Retriever. She very much appreciates the cooler weather in the Monterey area and enjoys going to the beach and hiking.
